On the 19th of November it was excursion day. We travelled by bus into the city. We had a snack outside of the aquarium. Firstly we learnt a bit about these interesting sharks called elephant sharks. An elephant shark can feel for their food. Some jelly fish are as big as a football oval and some can be as small as your fingertip. Smooth stingrays are the biggest rays in the world. Crocodiles are very good at staying still under salt water. Salt water crocodiles are the largest in the world. Salt water crocodiles can grow to be a length of 6 metres or more. Salt water crocodiles can stay under water for up to 2 hours. A seahorse mother lays 1,800 eggs. A seahorse is a fish even though it doesn’t look like a fish. The king penguin is the second largest penguin.
These facts were collected by Brianna on the day. Thanks Brianna!
